Night Train 2025 – A Concept for Safe and Efficient Night Travel Going to bed in Munich and waking up in Rome – the night train represents the ideal solution for low-emission travel. This 2020 concept, designed for 2025, maximizes capacity through a unified, medium-high standard – without class divisions or hotel-like extras.
The guiding principle of the open yet private layout is “safety through publicity.” In a row of single-passenger modules, solo travelers don’t have to share a closed compartment with strangers. Instead, a 35° angled wall provides visual privacy during sleep and creates a sense of cave-like coziness. Each module includes a seat, a sleeping area that converts into a table, lighting, luggage storage, and a drink holder.
