TIN TIN
Confronted with the mission to design a small and a large product made of sheet metal for a design class, we were forced to deal intensively with the special material properties. In addition, we had to take our cue from the cooperation partner De Crignis in terms of manufacturing as well as design language.
I wanted to liberate sheet metal from its usual context and apply the material where it‘s less commonly seen. A wallet – that was before everyone had those card holders, for real – and a swing. CNC laser cutting, bending, joining, and powder coating were applied in a practical project. Material selection, size and thickness of the sheet metal, construction and stability and installation as well as handling by the customer were all carefully considered. Personally, I became familiar with Rhino and Keyshot during the course of this project.
